In
Nigeria, One major achievement of the present civilian administration in the

per annum in the past five (5) years ,Nigeria is a large ,expanding and
sustainable market for sachet and bottle water.
Though the market for sachet
and bottle water in Nigeria, the business tends to sale more in the northern
part of Nigeria where hot weather is prompting people into drinking more water
than usual and lack of clean pump water contributed in giving the business a
good push up.
Sachet
and bottle water is consumed on daily basis by all and sundry irrespective of
age, social class or religion. The raw material required for the production of
sachet water is water while the other factors of production like land, capital,
labour also comes to play.
In
the production of sachet water {pure water}, the two most important equipment
required for production is the water treatment plant and the sachet water

TIN ORE { CASSITERITE } EXPORT IN NIGERIA; NON-OIL EXPORT OPPORTUNITY SERIES.
An established and well managed solid minerals sub-sector will accelerate economic, social and political growth of Nigeria by provision of gainful employment and a rise in national income earnings far exceeding the petroleum sector. In addition, solid minerals will provide local raw materials for industries and bring vital infrastructure and wealth to rural areas.
One of such minerals that have been identified for development is tin ore. 10,546 tonnes of which are found in Plateau State; is employed in plating, production of tin oxide used in paint, paper and ink industries, production of tin oxide resistors, electric lead wires and Foraminifera Market Research seeks to expose the investment opportunity in the export of the product through this feasibility report.
Tin ore {Cassiterite} is the second –easiest ore to mine. It is mined from tin veins. Cassiterite is a tin oxide mineral, SnO2. It is generally opaque but it is translucent in thin crystals. Its luster and multiple crystal faces produce a desirable gem. Cassiterite has been the chief tin ore throughout ancient history and remains the most important source of tin today.
Most sources of cassiterite today are found in alluvial or placer deposits containing the resistant weathered grains.
The return on investment on the export of tin ore is estimated between 10%- 15%.

The Nigeria nation is blessed with abundant mineral resources; fossil fuels and solid minerals. The most popular being the fossil fuels since these constitute the nation’s greatest foreign exchange earner. They have, therefore, tended to overshadow the solid mineral sector of mining industry.
The mineral spread in Nigeria is significant with evidence of 34 different minerals distributed in Nigeria’s richly endowed geology. Though not all the mineral occurrences will ultimately have enough reserves to be of viable interest to mining companies, the Nigerian government is leaving no stone unturned in its increasingly sustained efforts to delineate and objectively demonstrate the potential and encourage investments in all.
Nigeria has excellent and very significant deposits of columbite and Foraminifera Market Research seeks to expose the investment opportunity in the export of the product.
Columbite, also called niobite, niobite-tantalite and columbate [(Fe, Mn)Nb2O6], is a black mineral group that is an ore of niobium. It has a submetallic luster and a high density and is a niobate of iron and manganese.
This mineral group was first found in Haddam, USA. It forms a series with the tantalum-dominant analogue ferrotantalite and one with the manganese-dominant analogue manganocolumbite. The iron-rich member of the columbite group is ferrocolumbite. Some tin and tungsten may be present in the mineral. Yttrocolumbite is the yttrium-rich columbite with the formula (Y,U,Fe)(Nb,Ta)O4. It is a radioactive mineral found in Mozambique.
Columbite has the same composition and crystal symmetry (orthorombic) as tantalite. In fact, the two are often grouped together as a semi-singular mineral series called columbite-tantalite or coltan in many mineral guides. However, tantalite has a much greater specific gravity than columbite, more than 8.0 compared to columbite's 5.2.
Columbite is also very similar to tapiolite. Those minerals have same chemical composition but different crystal symmetry: orthorhombic for columbite and tetragonal for tapiolite. The largest documented single crystal of columbite consisted of plates 6 millimetres (0.24 in) thick measuring 76 by 61 centimetres (30 × 24 in).
Source of columbite ore used as an alloy of steel to form weldable high speed steel for radio transmitting valves, heat sensitive detective devices called barometer, for jet engines and other aircraft components.
There is no available data on the volume of columbite deposit in Nigeria. They are known to occure in the following states Plateau, Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, Kogi, Kwaara and Nasarawa States.
The electronics industry is by far the largest consumer of tantalum (up to 60%) followed by the telecommunications industry which accounts for approximately 18% of demand units.
The return on investment on the export of columbite ore is estimated between 10%- 15%.

MUSCOVITE MICA SHEET EXPORT IN NIGERIA ; NON-OIL EXPORT OPPORTUNITY SERIES.
Nigeria is endowed with several mineral commodities which are widely distributed. The Country was once a major mineral producer, accounting for substantial production of Cassiterite (tin), Gold, Coal, Lead/Zinc Sulphides, Tantalite and Columbite.
The Geology of Nigeria is comparable to those of other countries where world class deposits have been found. There are over thirty-four mineral commodities spread across the entire Country.
Some of the known mineral resources include: Gold, Coal, Bitumen, Iron Ore, Tantalite/Columbite, Lead/Zinc Sulphides, Barytes, Cassiterite, Gemstones, Talc, Feldspar and Muscovite mica.
Muscovite is a phyllosilicate mineral of aluminium and potassium. It has a highly-perfect basal cleavage yielding remarkably-thin laminæ (sheets) which are often highly elastic.
Muscovite is the most common mica, found in granites, pegmatites, gneisses, and schist’s, and as a contact metamorphic rock or as a secondary mineral resulting from the alteration of topaz, feldspar, kyanite, etc. In pegmatites, it is often found in immense sheets that are commercially valuable. Muscovite is in demand for the manufacture of fireproofing and insulating materials and to some extent as a lubricant. The name of muscovite comes from Muscovy-glass, a name formerly used for the mineral because of its use in Russia for windows.
Nigeria has a large deposit of muscovite mica and is mainly concentrated in the Northern Part of the country because of the peculiar geology of the area. Some of states in Nigeria where muscovite can be found include Kogi, Nassarawa,Cross River, Kaduna, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Kastina, Kebbi, Kogi, Ogun, Osun, Plateau and FCT.
Muscovite is in demand for the manufacture of fireproofing and insulating materials and to some extent as a lubricant. The demand for the commodity is strong and growing. Mica is supplied in two forms: scrap/flake and sheet. Some producing countries specify only on one form (like USA or Brazil), some can produce both (like Russia). Mica finds its main use as a gypsum wallboard joint compound, where it acts as a filler and extender, provides a smoother consistency, improves workability, and prevents cracking. Therefore scrap/flake mica volumes are much higher than sheet.
World leader in mica production is China with over 30% market share. Second place is held by USA having 27.3% of world output.
The return on investment in the export of muscovite mica sheets is estimated between 10- 15%.
