SUPPLY PALM KERNEL NUTS TO LOCAL INDUSTRIES IN NIGERIA AND MAKE HUGE PROFIT.

In the past when agricultural was still the mainstay o5f the Nigerian economy, the west grew cocoa and timber, the North groundnut while the eastern part of the country comprising the present day Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu states produced mainly, palm oil.
In Nigeria, oil palm is indigenous to the coastal plain, having migrated inland as a staple crop. Four products namely palm oil, palm kernel cake, palm kernel shell and palm kernel oil can be derived from the processing of oil palm.
Palm kernel nut is that which is gotten from the cracking of the shell of palm kernel fruit after the palm oil has been extracted. Palm kernel nuts is use in the production of palm kernel oil and palm kernel cake which is used in the preparation of animal feed.
Palm kernel oil {PKO} is an important and cheap source of oil for soap manufacturers ,bio-fuel, cooking oil, vegetable ghee, Shortenings, Margarine, CBS,CBE, ice cream, dough, creaming, coating, and other specialty fats while palm kernel cakes are used in animal feed production.
The business involves the buying and selling of palm kernel nuts and the product is usually sourced from different of the rain forest zone of Nigeria. The price is a function of the location, demand and supply as well as the source of the product.
In terms of cracking, there are two types of palm kernel nuts, hand cracked and machine cracked with each having its own advantage and disadvantage.
The advantage of the machine cracked palm kernel nut is the output, that is, they have higher output than the hand cracked palm kernel nut but can lead to the breaking of the nut which would lead to it losing too much oil compared to the hand cracked.
The product is usually packaged in jute bags and the seller can decide to package in 50 KG each for easy calculation.
Since the price is quoted in metric ton, 1000/KG makes 1 ton and this helps in easy transportation of the goods.
The manpower required to run the business is 2 with one purchasing the goods and the other selling to the buyers but the same person can perform the two functions.

The return on investment is estimated at between 10% -15 % and the transaction can be completed in a week.
