SOURCING FOR SOLID MINERALS IN NIGERIA.

At Foraminifera Market Research, we are in position to source for solid minerals for interested clients. Over the years, we have worked with direct miners/ seller that can deliver ex-warehouse and ex-site different types of minerals like Lithium Ore, Tin Ore, Zinc Ore, Kaolin ,Manganese Ore, Copper Ore, Muscovite Mica, Rutile Ore, Zircon Sand, Iron ore ,Lead Ore, Tantalite and many more.

Under Ex-warehouse delivery system, the responsibility of sourcing, packaging and transportation of the product to the buyer’s warehouse is handled by the seller/miner. It is usually more expensive than Ex-site, which as the name imply, the seller would only have to bother about sourcing and packaging, since the product would be delivered at the mining site or somewhere close to the mining site.

Below are the articles of our contract for the sourcing of solid minerals in Nigeria

1. Let it be known that an agreement is hereby reached between FORAMINIFERA herein referred to as the {Consultant} and Juba Nigeria Ltd herein referred to as the {Company}, to enter into a business relationship for the purpose of procuring lead ore 50%

2. It is a major component of this agreement that the consultant will source for miners/sellers of lead ore 50% minimum.

3. It is further agreed between the consultant and the company that this agreement would be in force for the supply of 300 MT trial and 500 MT monthly thereafter. This agreement would not be terminated except by mutual agreement of both parties.

4. It is agreed further that the consultant would be paid N50, 000 as consultancy fee before the signing of this agreement and N 3,500 per of the total quantity of goods bought within 24 hours into the consultants nominated account.

5. The cost of feeding, accommodation and transportation would be borne by the company.

6. Any dispute arising of this agreement would be resolved through negotiations.

INVEST IN WASTE COMPACTOR TRUCKS IN LAGOS STATE THROUGH PUBLIC –PRIVATE SECTOR PARTNERSHIP.

Lagos is regarded as the commercial capital of Nigeria and the nation’s centre of excellence. With a population of over 18,000,000 people and generating 9,000 tones of waste per day, Lagos has an expanding and sustainable need for investment in the management of waste.

The investment required in the sector cannot be met with the resources of the state alone given the need for the development of other key infrastructures and services and at such the need for public – private sector partnership {PPP}.

Public-private sector partnership (PPP) is a strategic partnership between government and the private sector that leverages on the strength of both parties in the provision of socio-economic infrastructure for the benefit of all. In this relationship, government is expected to create the right investment climate for the private sector to succeed while the private sectors (investors) are expected to bring to bear their expertise, fund and resource.

LAWMA, the agency responsible for waste management in Lagos state has come to terms with the waste disposal challenge in Lagos and realizes that huge amount of resources is needed to resolve the waste disposal problem. Consequently, the organization came up with what is called the PSP program - Private Sector Participation in waste disposal drive.

With this strategy, organizations interested in investing in the waste disposal and management industry are required to register with LAWMA. They are then inducted on safe and efficient waste disposal strategies and LAWMA’s mode of operation.
These organizations then get contracted as representatives of LAWMA in waste disposal.

Though a lot of investment opportunities exist in waste management such as
waste conversion, wheeler bins, motorised street cleaners and waste transfer loading stations, the focus of this article is on operating waste compactor trucks in partnership with the waste management authority in Lagos.

Lagos needs 450 compactors for the efficient transport of refuse. The state anticipates being able to supply 200 (with the input of local companies). The shortfall of 250 compactor trucks represents an opening for investors.

OPERATING A MODELING AGENCY IN NIGERIA; THE OPPORTUNITIES.

Believe me when I say this, modeling business is one of the easiest business you can start in Nigeria and make huge profit from. I am not just saying this for the sake for promotion but because I have seen it happen.

Operating a modeling agency involve the supplying of the models are used for advert, fashion shows and other advertising campaigns. The aim of using them is to attract and arrest the attention of the readers and viewers with a view to helping the product being advertised to sell.

Models are professional trained persons both men and women cutting across different ages and social class, with the ability to attraction attention.

The increasing launch of product and services would continue to create the demand for advertisement hence models.

Modeling can be classified into two main categories namely

1. Advert Section
2. Fashion Section

The advert section deals with the use of models in the marketing and branding of products and service. The advert section can further divided into TV, Radio and Billboard Commercials .The fashion section deals with the use of models in the exhibition of cloths and fashion accessories by designers.

The returns on this project are quite attractive and impressive because the modeling agency is entitled to at least 30% of the revenue per head of his models used in any shoot.

The successful implementation of this project begins with the identification of a niche market, recruiting and training of the models, acquiring office space and then contacting the advertising agency. To have competitive advantage over other modeling agency, it is advisable to register with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

THE RECENT MAMA AWARDS IN NIGERIA AND NIGERIA MUSIC INDUSTRY; THE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNTIES.

The MAMA AWARDS recently held in Lagos, Nigeria might have come and gone but surely, it is another recognition of Nigeria as a growing force to be recon with not just on the African continent but in the world stage in terms of music.

In the past seven {7} years, the music industry has witnessed a lot of progress and development with a lot of our local artiste dominating different genre taking a queue perhaps from movie industry in Nigeria , NOLLYWOOD ,which is ranked second only after HOLLYWOOD.

Nigeria with her current population estimated at over one hundred and forty million {140,000,000} growing at a rate of 3.5% per annum is not just the largest population of black people in the world but has one of the largest music and indeed entertainment market in Africa.

Though the entertainment industry in Nigeria is making giants strides at the moment, the next stage of her development would be determined by how much investment is made in the area of developing facilities and manpower. The industry is faced with challenges and like you already know where there is a problem/ challenge, there investment opportunities exists and this short article is aimed to identifying these areas. Interested investors can further seek development partners by networking on our online business forum at http://www.nigeriabusinessplace.com/ .

It is rather disheartening to note that Lagos, the nation’s commercial capital and the hub of the entertainment industry in Nigeria can not boast of enough standard conference and event centre. Where they exist their size and standard are questionable. The situation is similar through the nation and at such this is an over dependence on hotels for the provision of such facilities. Investment opportunities therefore exist for interested business men and women to take advantage of this gap in the provision on world class event and conference centre in Nigeria.

Other areas that requires investment in the entertainment industry in Nigeria include music production, stage and event management, choreography, artiste management, security management etc

Do you seek entertainment related business opportunities in Nigeria or you just want to know more about the subject matter as it affects Nigeria, Please do visit www.nigeriabusinessplace.com, register and click on the relevant board and start you rewarding contributions.

LAPIDARY SERVICES HIGHLY REQUIRED IN NIGERIA.

In one of my write up on the investment opportunities in the solid minerals industry in Nigeria , I identified lack of processing facilities as one of the problems in the sector and like you already know where there is a problem/ challenge ,there exist investment opportunities.

In the past with the exception of the quarry industry where heavy duty equipment are used in the processing granite chippings to the desired size, most mining and processing operations in Nigeria is still done with crude implements. However, the situation is graduation changing by the day fuelled mostly by the invasion of Chinese companies into mining sector in Nigeria and these has lead to the establishment of two large scale minerals processing facilities in Zamfara state.

One under public – private sector partnership {PPP} while the other is one a private venture. {For more on PPP and the different models of it , please do visit our business online forum at http://www.nigeriabusinessplace.com/ click on public – private sector partnership {PPP} and you would find more details there}.

Opportunities exist for savvy investors in the cutting and processing of gemstones in Nigeria, which is lapidary, is all about. Lapidary is the art cutting and polishing gemstones and other precious stones in order to bring out the beauty in the products. Gemstone in their raw form, are faced with two basic problem, the lack of standardization and quality assessment issues and at such when the miners/dealers sells in the raw form , it is either being short changed or they are short changing the buyer.

The art of Lapidary not only helps to solve this by assessing the stones based on the 4C’s {colour, clarity, cleavage and } ,they also cut the stone to specific sizes ,such that the buyer and seller not only knows the size of the stone but also the qualities of the stone and would negotiate the price based on this terms.

Lapidary services are highly required in Nigeria to avoid a situation whereby our gemstones would be sold for peanuts. Do you have lapidary skills and would want to invest in Nigeria? The time is now.
